Home Delivery Diets
Let's face it - we all know that if we're serious about
following a diet plan, we need to spend time working out some meal plans and shopping
for fresh ingredients. But how many of us really have that sort of time at our disposal?
Life seems to be getting busier than ever, and often following a health diet plan
just seems like too much hard work.
That's why a whole new industry has sprung up - diet food delivery. Basically, the
idea is that you order your meals from the delivery service, and they deliver them
either fresh or frozen, right to your door. You can order as often as daily through
to monthly, whichever suits you best. It's hardly surprising that the diet food
delivery industry is currently booming, as more and more people discover they can
follow their weight loss plan without the hassle of preparing special meals.
Delivery services differ, but generally you can choose
meals from a number of categories, including low carb, low fat and vegetarian. Some
services also offer meals that follow the principles of particular diet plans, including
the Zone diet. Some services will ask you to fill out a profile, and then tailor
a menu to suit your personal weight loss and health goals. For a price, you can
even get meals made specifically to your requirements.
One advantage of a diet delivery service is that they know what they're doing. Many
employ chefs to develop tasty and delicious meals that still comply with good dietary
requirements. If you're not particularly keen on spending a large amount of time
learning to cook a bunch of new meals, it can be so much simpler to let the delivery
service handle all that for you.
You can choose to have your meals delivered to you
at home or at work on a regular basis, and some services will deliver meal options
for lunch, breakfast and even snacks. Often you can order online whenever it suits
you, specifying a particular delivery time and location. Most of the time heating
instructions will be included, and services sometimes give bonus meals to their
loyal customers. Others will provide additional weight loss information and tips.
Although it's hard to get accurate information, anecdotal evidence suggests that
you will lose weight consistently if you stick with a diet food delivery service's
program. Often people find it easier to lose weight using a delivery service, simply
because there's no temptation to grab fast food on a night when you've worked late,
or you just can't be bothered cooking.
When you consider how much you spend on ingredients
for a meal, many delivery services are highly competitive on a cost per meal bass.
You can often sign up for a plan for less than $20 a day, with prices being a little
higher for plans catering for specific needs or food allergies. Many plans offer
discounts for bulk orders. And remember, if time is money, then you need to factor
in the amount of time it would take for you to prepare the meal yourself, including
shopping time.
If you're having trouble losing weight, and part of the problem is you just don't
have the time or skills to prepare nutritionally balanced meals every day, then
a diet delivery service may well be the answer. Make sure you spend some time comparing
difference services, so you get the best value for your money, as well as the best
choice of meals.
